Draconis in the Dark

Aii & Ego has just released some amazing new items to make your fantasy life more rich. Sized for both male and female mesh avatars, the legs, armor and ears shown can be worn by any regular-sized avi using the mesh bodies indicated.

• I was very excited to see the Draconis Legs which come with a variety of options that will allow you to customize them to fit your wildest imaginings. With BoM tattoos in a variety of configurations, including a set that can be custom tinted. 
• There are even face and arm scales for a complete avatar transformation. I'm showing the Onyx and the Gold scales in these photos. 

• I'm showing them here with the Overpowered Armor, which was also released this month and which I show in the picture directly below without the Draconis set. Overpowered Armor adds spikes and knee guards to its barely there loveliness. It comes with a hud to customize individual sections or the entire set.

• I'm wearing Bento Dark Elf Ears which come in 4 different styles, with 16 preset skin colors and can be tinted to match any skintone. Ear armor, tattoos and earrings can all be custom colored.

Necrotic Tail

For those who love their demons with a touch of elegance, Aii & Ego has just released the Necrotic Tail  in sizes from small - xlarge in both Animesh and Bento so it will work with any  regular sized body (shown here in medium). You'll find it at the Main Store.

This is not some well-behaved little imp tail. It reminds me of a dragon's skeletal appendage.  

It undulates around and even strikes. There are 17 colors in the hud and you can color the base tail, the spikes and tip and the tattoo. The tattoos make intricate embossed designs on each section. For you really creative folks out there, cell shading is also available.

As always, here is the comparison using Advanced Lighting and regular lighting. These are raw shots, no Photoshop or special filters: 

This time having materials enhanced made a lot of difference. The only thing I changed between these pictures was to toggle the Advance lighting off in the one on the right. 

Not only did the designs on the tail wash out under the regular lighting, you couldn't even see the thorns on my arms and legs.  

If you've been wondering how SL photographers get their pictures to look like paintings while yours look like cartoons, try turning on your Advance Lighting. It sometimes makes a huge difference!

Midsummer Enchantment July 10 - 26

It's time for my favorite event of the summer: Midsummer Enchantment!

Once again the most creative fantasy, gothic and "dark" designers in Second Life have gathered to present works of esoteric expression for the magickally inclined. 

Whether your preference is Fae, Witch, Goth, Gorean, Boho or Other, you'll find something you'll love at this event.

 

The region is absolutely beautiful in its summer glory and provides wonderful photo ops. 

In addition to a variety of unique items for sale, gachas and EXCLUSIVES in the shops, try your skill at the L$5 hunt.

You'll be looking for masks like the one I'm holding in the picture below. Pay L$5 for each mask and receive a prize! Masks often hold items to complement the exclusives you'll find for sale and can be found inside the shops or anywhere in the sale region.
