It's a story as old as Time ~ She was a perfect little angel. She never strayed away from the Celestial home, and she stanchly defended the opinions of her teachers.
As she matured, thoughts washed over her that had no resemblance to what she'd been told. Her dreams made her blush. Her feathers began to fall out and she thought of it as a punishment until she realized her wings were stronger and more resilient without them.
A small discomfort at the base of her spine became a maddening itch which grew into a tail. She tried desperately to hide the tail until it became so long and active it was obvious to everyone.
Still, she fought to be the perfect angel she had always been.
She was cast out of the Celestial Home. She fell down and down till she landed in a place far from her childhood home. She found it warmer, more comfortable and more interesting than the life she had been told to live.
Now she bears the scars of life. She's known fear, pain, love, despair and happiness. She fights valiantly to defend her right to live her life in her own way. Others might call it Hell. She calls it Joy.
The day came when she could no longer pretend to believe the things they'd taught. She had her own thoughts, dreamed her own dreams and began to live in a manner that was not at all perfect.
