The Specter in the Stairwell

By the time I reached my destination the rain was falling steadily, accented occasionally by flashes of lightning. I stripped off my soaked mack as I made my way to the sitting room and was pulling off my damp sweater when I glanced toward the fire. I thought I saw the figure of a woman glaring at me balefully.

She was not particularly ethereal in a theatrical way, but was not substantial either. The candles reflected off her armor in a real enough manner but the pale nimbus around her body made me think that she was not really there ... work in progress

Inspiration can come from anywhere ~ a song, a photograph, a snatch of overheard conversation...

As I often do, I found inspiration for a story based on an outfit from Aii. A protective warrior woman appearing in a Scottish manor house seemed a good anchor for a ghost story and thanks to Aii's imagination, it was easy to equip my specter with Clothing, Armor and even a blood-streaked Aura.
