As the end of its life approached, the phoenix would build a pyre nest of aromatic branches and spices, set it on fire, and was consumed in the flames. An egg would appear among the ashes and new phoenix is born -- or as some legends say, reborn -- the phoenix arises from the ashes. Modern additions to the myth in popular culture say the tears of the phoenix have great healing powers, and if the phoenix is near one cannot tell a lie.

The metal wing armor can be gold, silver or black. The flexi ribbon trim comes in 9 colors. These animated bento wings come in sizes XS-XXL (medium shown in the pictures).
