Scars

“My scars remind me that I did indeed survive my deepest wounds. That in itself is an accomplishment. And they bring to mind something else, too. They remind me that the damage life has inflicted on me has, in many places, left me stronger and more resilient. What hurt me in the past has actually made me better equipped to face the present.”
― Steve Goodier

Only those who get close enough to really see you notice your scars. In most cases, they will see those scars as part of what makes you unique. Do not hide your scars. Wear them proudly as a sign that you survived.

+Aii Lilith and Her Daughters

+Aii has just released some new horns and interesting makeup in the main store. You'll find 18 colors and 4 metals for each of the Lilithian Horns & Lights. You can make each horn a different color if you've a mind to, so there are almost endless possibilities to the color combinations.

The Tainted Lady makeup is available in 2 white tones and 2 dark tones, complete with eyelashes for your Catwa head. The lashes are unique and very pretty. I've been wearing them with my other makeups and really like them!

You'll find the horns in the Accessories area and the makeup in the Body section of the +Aii store...

+Aii Red Death

+Aii's latest creation is Red Death with system tattoos and Omega appliers in two intensities and four styles. I'm not sure what exactly is causing this strange bloody contagion, but I think I'm terminal.
You can find it @ Momento Mori.

I teamed it with another new +Aii creation ~ Fleshy Horns and an old favorite, the Thorny Imp wings, tail and collar, available @ the +Aii store.

+Aii: The Watcher and Kintsukuroi Horns

Priestess of Tryblith
~ Heather Alexander/Alexander James Adams

As a child he asked of me
Offerings of flowers
And through the years I worshipped him
He granted me his powers
But new Gods have gained prominence
And so his power wanes
Lest I provide the offerings
Of blood as he ordains

For thirty days I left his shrine
The safety of the trees
And traveled through the towns of man
To find one who would please
I found him on the fifteenth day
And for him I did a dance
And lead him to my forest home
As though within a trance

For two weeks we lived happily
On fruit and game and wine
I said that with a sacrifice
We'd share a gift divine
And so upon the final day
With full moon shining bright
I spilt his blood upon the stone
My god drank well that night

Now every night the moon is full
Within that cursed glade
I wrap my spells about myself
And dance for my love's shade
I dance a dance of sorrow
And I sing a verse of pain
I know not if the morrow
Will release me from these chains

Credit where credit is due: I took the inspiration for today's blog from one of my favorite Heather Alexander songs. The poignancy of the words made it easy to do the photo lay out.
Thank you to my friend, Christopher, for being my victim.

Kintsukuroi Horns and tattoos from +Aii gives me the tortured soul look and adding The Watcher eyes, robe and mask finished the look. The mask and robe can be worn, but I have a very small avatar and you couldn't really tell what they were when I was wearing them, so hanging them from the tree seemed a good way to display them for the pictures. The hud lets you have 4 fur colors, 8 skull colors, 5 skull tattoo styles, 11 eye colors and 13 horn textures.

Ostara's Altar: Night Watch

The Ostara's Altar Event offers wonders galore for those who are more familiar with moonlight than the rays of dawn and who would be at home among unicorns and ghostly butterflies.
This outfit from [QE] combines the best of hunting leathers and femininity. The vest, skirt and boots have lovely embroidered flower accents, a hud to change the lacing colors and comes in a golden faun color or the rich sable shown.
I'm also wearing a traditional symbol of plenty and rebirth, a lovely crystal egg from Vengeful Threads .

Ostara's Altar March 20 ~ April 16

As the northern hemisphere turns toward the sun again, we must remember that if there were no darkness, there would be no need for light. Ostara's Altar Event celebrates the darkness found in the light and provides a shopping experience for those of us who embrace the OTHER.

Honoring the soft, yet magically dark side of spring, this event will appeal to those that dabble in the dark arts of witchcraft, pastel goth, NuGoth, Victorian, magic, whimsical and spookiness in general.
Exclusives at every shop with a 25% off discount.
