The Wheel of the Year turns and we find ourselves taking refuge from the heat in the Forgotten Forest. This spot is not on any map and is hidden from those who lack a sense of magick.

Dark Passions brings you the Forgotten Forest event August 21- September 4.

Your favorite fantasy, witchy, esoteric and mystical creators have gathered to share their visions and to make their newest and most unique goods available in one beautifully landscaped location.

As you journey through the Forest, watch for Potion Bottles like the one I'm holding. Find a bottle, pay the L$25 finder's fee and add the wonders inside to your inventory. Hunt items often compliment or complete the items for sale in the booths. Bottles may be hidden or in plain sight anywhere in the event region. There are no hints, it just takes a keen eye to find them.

Lady in Red

My look today features the lovely Sugar Petal Gown Set from Aii. I wanted a strong presence and the red textures in the hud worked perfectly to express my idea.

A Hymn for Nyx

In Greek mythology Nyx stands as the embodiment of night. Born of Chaos, she was one of the first deities to shape the universe. Nyx cloaks the world in darkness.

Mother to Sleep and Death, Nyx weaves through the myths as a figure of immense mystery and power. Her presence is felt when the skies darken and whispers of the unknown start to fill the air.

I combined items from two of my sponsors to create an evocative atmosphere for my Nyx rite. 

The outfit is the lovely Danse Diabolique Gown and Cape from Aii. It comes rigged for Reborn, Waifu, V-tech, Legacy F, Perky, Petite, and includes a huge hud of textures. Pieces can be worn separately to expand the versatility of the outfit.

The setting is from [QE Home] ~ Velara Wedding Arch, Velara Crystal Clusters, Velara Candles, Velara Moonstone Path and Velara Altar Stones. Each piece has multiple color choices. • Originally, Harpies were creatures with bird bodies and the faces of beautiful women. The Harpies were the Greek goddesses of storm winds or whirlwinds and were often perceived to be the personification of sudden and violent gusts of wind.

• When people disappeared mysteriously, the Harpies would be blamed, with people often believing that the disappeared had been snatched away by the winds. As different cultures envisioned them, their appearance changed till in most stories they were depicted as horrible, almost demonic, creatures that administered Zeus' punishments.
