Dark Passions Forgotten Forest 

From the Forgotten Forest

The Wall ran through the forest. There was no apparent end to it. Nor did there seem to be a gate or other way through it.  On the west side, the forest seemed darker and more forbidding. Sun dappled flowers grew on the east side. I walked along the eastern side, occasionally whacking the bricks with the stick I held in my hand. 

Suddenly the wall shimmered and an opening appeared. A Fae creature wearing nothing but a few sticks and flowers appeared and stepped through the opening before it quickly closed again.

Now the question is: was the Fae there before I touched the opening in the wall, or did the opening cause her to materialize? [Think Schrodinger's Cat]

The Faerie of the Crystal Cave

A solitary frost faerie dwelt in a cold and silent crystal cave. Like her ancestors she was quiet, independent and a bit brittle. Unlike her ancestors, she was not completely happy existing alone. Depression almost got the best of her, especially in the midst of winter when the shorter days made her feel particularly blue. 

One day she was surprised by skaters passing through her cave in celebration of their winter holiday. They greeted her cheerfully and, instead of avoiding them as she normally would have done, she hesitantly returned their greetings. 

She felt a bit of warmth begin to flow through her body. She enjoyed the feeling even though it frightened her a little. The next time skaters appeared she quietly welcomed them. It was hard work, but as time passed she began to feel almost comfortable saying "hello" to the folks who shared her world. She found that even though she would always be a solitary frost faerie, occasionally it felt good to let her heart feel the warmth of others.

• If you're feeling the seasonal blues and need some help, contact SAMHSA for coping tools and suggestions.

• Frost and crystal Scadi Jumpsuit for female mesh bodies is from Faunus *. I'm a very private frost faerie so I added a white pastie on the right side, which has just the crystals, but bolder ladies will enjoy flaunting the crystals. You'll find more frosty costuming ideas from Faunus including unisex sets that look great on male and female bodies @ Winter's Hollow.

• Wings from Aii & Ego. I use these Fairy Wings a lot because they're beautifully textured and nicely animated. They come in Bento and Animesh. In the top picture I'm showing the XL wings with one of the textures available in the Moon Ripple hud [20 colors] sold separately. In the lower picture I used the pearl texture from the original hud [37 colors]. Check out the huge variety of wing styles at the Aii MAIN Store.
