It's time for Trick or Treat Lane!

As the year darkens, the veil between the worlds thins. Whether you call it All Hallow's, Samhain, Hallowe'en, Dia de los Muertos or something else, it's time to celebrate life by honoring the Dead and all the other denizens of the dark.

Trick or Treat Lane offers new, exclusive and discounted items from your favorite Fantasy, Witchy, Gothic and Esoteric creators presented in a beautifully landscaped region with lots of unique scenarios for taking pictures.

Each booth has a Trick or Treat Hunt item. You have the option of hunting for little ghosts like the one I'm holding in the picture to find the Treat for L$0, or if you don't like to hunt, you can purchase the Hunt items for L$50 from the Trick or Treat bag in front of the booth. Hunt Ghosts are scattered everywhere throughout the event and are not limited to being in or around the shops.

Back Into the Void

"Void" has different connotations to different people. Some think of it as a negative term indicating a complete absence of substance or meaning or as a nothingness, others might think of it as a vast cauldron of potential. The creators for the Twisted Hunt do not fear the Void. They relish the opportunity to fill that space with wonders.

Twisted invites you to hunt for Twisted Cubes in black on black, often in dark regions. Finding the cubes is difficult to say the least and the liberal use of decoys at some locations makes using cheat tools more frustrating than helpful. Dedication, patience and a good graphics card are the tools that make it possible to survive a Twisted Hunt. (Copious amounts of caffeine and an emotional support moth-kitteh help, too!) You have till the end of September to finish, but don't leave it to the last few days or you might not have time to do the End Game, which is always super challenging.

As you travel from store to store, be sure to look for the Twisted easels that announce side hunts, sale items, gachas and other Twisted-related info. You can do the side hunts as you go along or finish the main hunt and go back to do the side hunts while you wait for End Game to open.

• I often take a pet along with me when I'm hunting. They tend to keep me focused. The Mothcats from Aii are very good as emotional support animals. They're well-animated to act like cuddly cats.
• The MothCat comes as both a wearable avatar that lets you be this other-worldly creature and as an animesh pet that can be worn on the arm, shoulder, head or as a follower.

Are you ready for Twisted?

Twisted is notorious for being the Hardest Hunt on the grid. If your "hunt" experience has been limited to walking through an event and tripping over prizes you have to pay for, it's time to join the world of REAL SL hunting!

Twisted cubes are frequently in plain sight, but they may be fiendishly hidden by the background and might be accompanied by baby cubes and dozens of decoy cubes as well. They could mock you, attack you or call you names, but they have unique goodies inside and the prizes are FREE for successful Hunters. This round's cubes are black on black, so good luck finding them! [Note: buy aspirin! These will give you a headache!]

Your journey begins HERE. Make your way between the displays of pictures, awards and memorabilia from former Twisted Hunts @ Hunt Headquarters.
Touch the twisting cube above the altar for your official start packet. You can't miss it though you may have to jump over or fight off cubes from former hunts to get to it. Don't expect it to be this easy to find any of the other cubes on this hunt.

Dark Passions Forgotten Forest 

From the Forgotten Forest

The Wall ran through the forest. There was no apparent end to it. Nor did there seem to be a gate or other way through it.  On the west side, the forest seemed darker and more forbidding. Sun dappled flowers grew on the east side. I walked along the eastern side, occasionally whacking the bricks with the stick I held in my hand. 

Suddenly the wall shimmered and an opening appeared. A Fae creature wearing nothing but a few sticks and flowers appeared and stepped through the opening before it quickly closed again.

Now the question is: was the Fae there before I touched the opening in the wall, or did the opening cause her to materialize? [Think Schrodinger's Cat]

My look today features the lovely Sugar Petal Gown Set from Aii. I wanted a strong presence and the red textures in the hud worked perfectly to express my idea.

A Hymn for Nyx

In Greek mythology Nyx stands as the embodiment of night. Born of Chaos, she was one of the first deities to shape the universe. Nyx cloaks the world in darkness.

Mother to Sleep and Death, Nyx weaves through the myths as a figure of immense mystery and power. Her presence is felt when the skies darken and whispers of the unknown start to fill the air.

I combined items from two of my sponsors to create an evocative atmosphere for my Nyx rite. 

The outfit is the lovely Danse Diabolique Gown and Cape from Aii. It comes rigged for Reborn, Waifu, V-tech, Legacy F, Perky, Petite, and includes a huge hud of textures. Pieces can be worn separately to expand the versatility of the outfit.

Aii's Spirit Fox

Fox spirits and nine-tailed foxes appear frequently in Chinese folklore, literature, and mythology. Depending on the story, the fox spirit's presence may be a good or a bad omen. The motif of nine-tailed foxes from Chinese culture was eventually transmitted and introduced to Japanese, Korean, and Vietnamese cultures. [1]



Foxes are a common subject of Japanese folklore; in English, the word kitsune refers to them in this context. Stories depict legendary foxes as intelligent beings and as possessing paranormal abilities that increase with their age and wisdom.
