Heaven or Hell?

When planning a look for your Hallowe'en or other costumed events don't forget to check out the hundreds of looks and accessories @ the Aii MAINSTORE!

You don't need to wait for a special event to shop for Aii items to complete that unique look you've been dreaming of; the wonders are available year-round.

This fallen angel isn't intimidated by the rising flames. Her wings aren't about to be singed, though they could be. Aii's items always come with huge texture huds of preset colors as well as giving the option to edit textures individually to suit your needs.

Remember to make a copy of whatever you want to edit so that you'll have a fresh canvas for your changes. I've found myself with as many as a dozen copies before I made the exact change I had been envisioning. Yes, it takes some time and effort to personalize textures, but it's so satisfying to have a look that NOBODY else in SL has!

Wisdom for Witchlings

Hidden in the forest a short distance from Trick or Treat Lane there's a quiet spot where the Wise can relax and read for a spell. A Familiar cat keeps them company and the Skull Hourglass keeps them from lingering too long. The Loveseat is formed of roots growing from the ground and weaving themselves into a comfortable chair made even more comfortable with a patchwork throw and a puffy star pillow.

Find these magical items and much more @ Trick or Treat Lane either for sale or as Hunt items.

Fly Free, My Friends!

Ironically, in the 14th-17th centuries in Europe and the new Americas, the person who could free a spirit trapped at a place of execution (or assist in the birth of a baby) would be the person who might next be accused of witchcraft.

Anyone (male or female) who looked, dressed or behaved differently from the crowd could be accused of being a witch and unfortunately, would be considered guilty till proven innocent.

Celebrate your right to be yourself and wear what you want. Trick or Treat Lane is replete with opportunities to express yourself!

This outstanding look from Senzafine is the Hunt version of an EXCLUSIVE, which comes in 6 colors.

Web-sprinkled fabric with gold accents and jewels hugs the body. Wing sleeves add to the magic. [Legacy / Maitreya / Reborn]

The enchantment continues @ Trick or Treat Lane till October 31.

Outstanding in Their Field

“A scarecrow stands in solitude, reminding us that strength lies in

standing tall amid adversities.” Source unknown

Scarecrows hold a unique position among the ghoulies and ghosties and long-legged beasties at harvest and Hallowe'en time. Sometimes the scarecrow is used to elicit horror, other times they play the hero or give comic relief.
Probably the most famous scarecrow is, of course, played by Ray Bolger in the movie of the Wizard of Oz, who was wise and caring in spite of having a head full of straw.

• Find your inner Scarecrow with the help of these EXCLUSIVE outfits from Faunus @ Trick or Treat Lane.
• Strawheart Dawn for female bodies [Legacy / Reborn / LaraX / Maitreya]
• Strawheart Rye for male shapes [Legacy, Athletic / Gianni, GianniX / Kario Fit, Flat, Flex / Belleza Jake]
• Sets include lots of straw accents, stalks of wheat and sunflower trim as well as antiqued clothing in rich patchworks, leather, and classic crewel embroidery trim. Decorated Hats, Gloves, Boots and a Sickle are included for both outfits.

It's time for Trick or Treat Lane!

As the year darkens, the veil between the worlds thins. Whether you call it All Hallow's, Samhain, Hallowe'en, Dia de los Muertos or something else, it's time to celebrate life by honoring the Dead and all the other denizens of the dark.

Trick or Treat Lane offers new, exclusive and discounted items from your favorite Fantasy, Witchy, Gothic and Esoteric creators presented in a beautifully landscaped region with lots of unique scenarios for taking pictures.

Each booth has a Trick or Treat Hunt item. You have the option of hunting for little ghosts like the one I'm holding in the picture to find the Treat for L$0, or if you don't like to hunt, you can purchase the Hunt items for L$50 from the Trick or Treat bag in front of the booth. Hunt Ghosts are scattered everywhere throughout the event and are not limited to being in or around the shops.

Home Twisted Home

In a Twisted Hunt you can expect unexpected twists to extend to the prizes as well as to the Hunt itself. Sharing some of my favorite twists.

Dragon Magic Wares Void Hall ~ I used 6 lights in the interior and several more for the exterior photos. It's a lovely place with excellent textures and makes the most of the Into the Void black on black theme. Be sure you bring a candle!

The Cubes are Out to Get You!

• Twisted Hunts have a way of worming their way into the minds of certain individuals in SL. The cubes are addictive. A Twisted Hunter will happily receive their Survivor tag for completing a hunt and a few weeks later, will start Jonesing for the sight of a turning cube.

• Shiny metallic silver and black leather featured in an outfit from Coveted [Kupra / LaraX, PetiteX / Legacy Bomshell, Perky / Maitreya, Petite / Reborn, Waifu]

Back Into the Void

"Void" has different connotations to different people. Some think of it as a negative term indicating a complete absence of substance or meaning or as a nothingness, others might think of it as a vast cauldron of potential. The creators for the Twisted Hunt do not fear the Void. They relish the opportunity to fill that space with wonders.

Twisted invites you to hunt for Twisted Cubes in black on black, often in dark regions. Finding the cubes is difficult to say the least and the liberal use of decoys at some locations makes using cheat tools more frustrating than helpful. Dedication, patience and a good graphics card are the tools that make it possible to survive a Twisted Hunt. (Copious amounts of caffeine and an emotional support moth-kitteh help, too!) You have till the end of September to finish, but don't leave it to the last few days or you might not have time to do the End Game, which is always super challenging.

As you travel from store to store, be sure to look for the Twisted easels that announce side hunts, sale items, gachas and other Twisted-related info. You can do the side hunts as you go along or finish the main hunt and go back to do the side hunts while you wait for End Game to open.

• Wearing the Hallow & Void Woman's Coat from Psyche's Pstyles. It comes with 6 colors in the hud. [LaraX / Legacy / Maitreya 5.3 / Reborn]

• I often take a pet along with me when I'm hunting. They tend to keep me focused. The Mothcats from Aii are very good as emotional support animals. They're well-animated to act like cuddly cats.
• The MothCat comes as both a wearable avatar that lets you be this other-worldly creature and as an animesh pet that can be worn on the arm, shoulder, head or as a follower.
• The color hud applies textures to both the avatar and the pets [40 fur colors, 5 metals, 13 gem colors, 105 eye styles]
