Midsummer Enchantment ~ Magic is where you make it

Just when a fellow thinks it's safe to relax with a nice mug of ale at his favorite inn, a beautiful elven lady appears out of nowhere and asks him if he'd be willing to do her a favor.

What was I going to say? One doesn't refuse a favor to the elves. It just isn't done! I pledged to assist her in any way I could.

The next thing I knew I was the proud possessor of a book of magic spells, a bunch of crystals and a magic vase. Papers were flying everywhere, and moths were appearing from nowhere.

Somehow, I'm supposed to use magic that a magical being can't handle. I've studied for weeks and haven't got a clue what I'm doing. But I gave my word, so here I am, as ready as I'll ever be to set forth on a high adventure. Wish me well!

Welcome to Midsummer Enchantment June 24 ~ July 8

Come in, have a cup of tea. We have cookies! We also have the most creative fantasy, gothic and "dark" designers in Second Life, who have gathered to present works of esoteric expression for the magickally inclined. Whether your preference is Fae, Witch, Goth, Gorean, Boho, Mer or Other, you'll find something you'll love at this event!

The event is held in a beautifully landscaped environment that will work magic on your soul and make you forget about the steamy weather as we celebrate the turning of the wheel of the year.

In addition to new items, there are EXCLUSIVES, and a L$10 - L$25 Hunt. Look for potion bottles like the one I'm holding in the picture. Potion bottles may be inside the shops or scattered throughout the region. There are no hints for the hunt, but none are really needed if you have a sharp eye. (In fact, if you look closely at the photo, you just might see a hunt bottle hiding in the background.)

Tea with the Bonny Black Hare

Spring decorating and Ostara's Altar are synonymous. I dragged my rather dark and gloomy witch's house into the light using some of the home decor items from Ostar's Altar

The Petite Mort Wonderland Tea Party Collection includes several different styles of animated chairs, the cloth-covered table, tea sets in pink or white and lots of yummy-looking cakes and cupcakes. It even includes a Mouse sitting on a pile of books to reach the table and an animated cup for you to hold. Components sold separately.

Wildflower Wabbit Planters from *Paper Moon* decorate the table and the corners of the room. I'm using pink and blue ones, but the Wabbits are available in 4 color combinations and hold 4 different plants.

Lunar Moth Collection from Dragon Magick Wares brings a vibrant touch of color to the wall. The frames can be displayed separately.

Moth-attracting Carriage Lamps from Devilock add a touch of light as well as movement.

The square pink BamPu Legacies Easter Breach Ostara Fur Rug comes in 3 sizes. The [QE Home] Nouveau Spring Rugs come in rectangle and round. Each [QE] rug includes a touch hud to change sizes and textures. The Elisium Round Rug from Witch in a Box comes in 14 textures.

Hidden under the table, a Crate of Eggs from Old World finishes off the spring decorations.

Ostara's Altar April 1 - 15

It's time once again for Ostara's Altar, a seasonal event featuring your favorite Gothic, Fantasy and Alternative creators, who have been working hard to bring a touch of spring color and lightness to our magical world.

Ostara's Altar is being held in the brand-new Dark Passions shopping region which is absolutely gorgeous!

Come spend a day wandering through the market and discover all the hidden photo spots.

Besides offering unusual and EXCLUSIVE merchandise at wonderful prices, watch for eggs like the one I'm holding.

Each merchant has put out at least one egg, which could be hiding anywhere in the event. Hunt Eggs might be any size and are usually fairly close to the merchant's booth. Pay a L$10 finder's fee to take the egg and get some wonderful extra goodies!
